Requirement
During a wind farm electrical connection study, the future producer has to be in accordance with the latest decree (Decree on technical design and operation for connection to a public electricity supply in low or medium voltage of power generation installation) which requires specific constraints about level voltages at the common point of voltage (Delivery point).
The customer is then faced with study settings / set points on machines to be in accordance with voltages constraints imposed by the distributor (reactive power production / absorption, contractual voltage).

Realization
CAPSIM modeled the entire network with ETAP software in order to calculate power flow and elaborate [UQ] diagrams. A protection selectivity study had been performed with ETAP to solve false tripping protections problem on the wind.
Results
The study had been performed to evaluate the farm compliance with imposed constraints and to define appropriate solutions for protections problems.
